After such a lovely sunny morning we were so sad to hear the news that Leo, the much loved Head Ranger based at Woodgate Valley has sadly suddenly passed away. Here at BTFL we are shocked, as it only seems like yesterday that he was sharing his enthusiasm about trees with the school pupils on many of our planting sites.
For many years our tree planting schemes in the west of the city have involved Leo, who was passionate about the environment and community involvement.  We will all miss him and his enthusiasm (not forgetting his “can do” attitude). Birmingham has lost a true eco-warrior.
